This policy covers Stack & Settle's website, booking and payment process, and related customer and Realtor communications.
Information we use to provide your rental
We collect the contact and reservation information you provide: name, email, phone, package, rental dates, delivery and return choices, addresses, promo codes, and messages. Transaction records may include deposit and invoice amounts, payment status, refunds, and Stripe identifiers. Stripe processes card details; our website does not collect full card numbers.
We use this information to manage availability, deliver and collect totes, process payments and refunds, send rental updates, respond to questions, apply eligible offers, maintain business records, and prevent misuse.
Providers that help us operate
- Tally: booking form submissions.
- Stripe: deposits, invoices, refunds, payment security, and tax calculation.
- Make and Trello: reservation workflows and internal operations.
- MailerSend: transactional rental communications.
- MailerLite: marketing and Realtor introduction emails, subscriber groups, unsubscribe preferences, and associated campaign activity.
- OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare: website hosting, delivery, security, and the website's limited analytics storage.
These providers process information under their own terms and privacy practices. We may also disclose information when needed to comply with law, respond to valid legal requests, protect customers, or resolve payment disputes. We do not sell or rent customer contact lists.
Cookies, browser storage, and optional analytics
Our preference banner lets you choose essential-only operation or allow optional website analytics. We save that choice in your browser for up to 180 days. You can change it at any time using Cookie settings in the footer.
If you allow analytics, we count page visits and selected booking steps by day and page. Our analytics does not receive names, email addresses, form answers, booking IDs, URL query strings, or persistent visitor identifiers. It does not count a payment-link click as a completed or paid booking. Aggregate counts are retained for up to approximately 400 days. Optional analytics stays off when we detect a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track preference.
Booking and checkout use necessary third-party services when you choose to use them. Their security, form, and payment technologies are separate from optional site analytics. You can book and contact us with analytics declined.
Contact form protection
The contact form checks required fields, limits repeated submissions, and uses a short-lived verification token to reduce automated spam and duplicate messages. We temporarily store a keyed digest of network information for rate limiting, plus a random submission reference and status. The protection records expire after their short operating window, generally within a day, and are removed during subsequent service activity. Form messages are forwarded to our operational service and are not saved in the website analytics database.
Marketing choices
Marketing and Realtor emails include an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing from marketing does not stop necessary messages about an active rental. Submitting a contact form does not itself subscribe you to a marketing list.
Retention and security
We retain rental, communication, and transaction information as reasonably needed for service, accounting, taxes, disputes, and other legal obligations. Periods vary by record and provider. We limit access and use technical safeguards, including encrypted website connections. No online service can be guaranteed completely secure.
Your requests
To request access, correction, or deletion of your information, email hello@stackandsettletotes.com. We may verify your identity and retain records needed for an active rental, valid amounts owed, disputes, security, or legal obligations. Applicable privacy rights and exceptions depend on your circumstances.
Children
Our rental service is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
